In partnership with the Sarnia-Lambton Children’s Aid Society, Athletes Empowered has launched Keep Me Safe - a proactive program designed to equip every adult involved in a child’s athletic journey with the knowledge and tools to help keep them safe.

The program empowers adults to:

• Understand the current sport culture and landscape, and recognize signs of abuse.

• Create a safe space for athletes and parents to share their experiences, ask questions, and voice concerns.

• Respond with care using trauma-informed practices.

• Provide preventative tools to keep children safe and promote a “human-first, athletes second” approach to sport.
